  In 2021, our mother went from needing part-time help in her home to needing 24/7 in-home care after a fall. She had lived most of her adult life in the same home in Little Rock.  Although SEC had helped us with some nighttime care, Shawnda quickly mobilized a team of full-time caregivers. My sisters and I all live out of town. Although the three of us took turns coming to Little Rock every month, and were in phone contact daily, we needed a group of caregivers with whom we could trust and communicate freely.  Our SEC team exceeded our expectations. They helped us navigate a world of uncertainty with consistency and compassion and allowed us to keep our mother in our family home until her death in 2023. Our SEC team coordinated with outside service providers such as therapists, a house manager, and ultimately hospice to maximize personal care to our mother, provide her comfort and dignity, and keep the house in order. When we had times of uncertainty or needed to make adjustments, Shawnda and our team members were always available to talk and listen to our concerns and help make things better.  Over the course of time SEC helped our family, we saw that our team members not only cared for our mother but loved her. We are so grateful for our SEC team and count Shawnda and these women as our family still today.
